Electronic Sports Authority of Tamil Nadu (ESAT) Announces New Partnership Policy
Chennai, Tamil Nadu – May 27, 2024
The Electronic Sports Authority of Tamil Nadu (ESAT) is pleased to announce a new partnership policy, following a committee meeting held on May 24, 2024. This policy outlines the necessary criteria and code of conduct for organizations wishing to partner with ESAT for future events as co-hosts or collaborators.
Key Points of the New Policy:
Complete Transparency: Partners must provide full transparency regarding event hosting plans, the vendors used, and any personal vested interests. This ensures that all aspects of the event are conducted with integrity and openness.
Respect and Professionalism: All partners must show respect to ESAT members during meetings and throughout the event. Professional conduct is essential for a successful and harmonious collaboration. Additionally, the time of ESAT members must be valued and not taken for granted.
Detailed Contractual Agreements: A comprehensive contract will be signed between ESAT and the partnering organization. This contract will detail the terms of contribution, mutually agreed upon by both parties. ESAT is committed to adhering strictly to these terms and expects the same from its partners. Any disputes or allegations regarding contributions post-event will not be entertained.
Venue Facilitation: If ESAT facilitates a venue, partners must acknowledge that certain changes by the venue may occur, for which ESAT is not responsible. Partners are expected to respect the decisions made by the venue management and not hold ESAT accountable for such changes.
Final and Binding Contracts: Once a contract is signed between ESAT and the partnering organization, it is final and binding. Amendments will not be entertained, and the contract must be honored by both parties.
Attendance Disclaimer: While ESAT will make efforts to promote the event, the number of attendees is influenced by various factors, including public interest, and cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, ESAT cannot and will not promise partners a specific number of guests.
Commitment to Agreed Terms: Partners cannot renegotiate or dispute the agreed terms after the event for whatever the reasons may be. Allegations or changes post-event to the contract will not be accepted.
Regular Event Updates: Partners are required to provide regular updates about the event, including details about the number of people involved and the expected number of attendees.
Non-Profit Focus: ESAT is dedicated to the growth of esports in Tamil Nadu and does not seek short-term monetary gains. Any profit shares mentioned in the contract are solely for the purpose of advancing esports in the region and are not for the personal gain of ESAT members. Partners are free to use their profit share as they see fit.
Reasonable Ticket Pricing: When setting ticket prices for events, partners must ensure that the prices are reasonable and justified. A proper rationale for the ticket pricing must be provided to ensure affordability and transparency.
Failure to adhere to these policies will result in the termination of the partnership with ESAT.
